There is a login glitch in 2.0.14 Curve, it's been reported on just a few forums, one of which I worked on. Only way to fix it is to disable session check in load.php. Not on my computer so can't post the code, maybe someone else can do it.

If you're referring to the green widget next to your name, afaik there's no way to remove it without editing the display template. A member can option to not show their status, but the widget remains, it's just empty. Which theme are you using?
