That is PHP missconfiguration by your host, unless you override the default options in the php.ini or user.ini in some hosts.
In a production site, PHP should not be showing any error like that to the user, just a blank page if it's a fatal error, show...

The forum language is set to "English British (UTF-8)". The pages are delivered with UTF-8 encoding as well. And the detailed version check doesn't show any outdated forum files.

SMF broke support for frames back in 2.0.6 or 2.0.7, I forget exactly which version I introduced this security measure into.
If you want to change it, look for the line in index.php which refers to X-Frame-Options and comment it out.

Thanks. I was missing a piece in my understanding. If I go to:
Admin >> Members >> MemberGroups Edit Membergroups >> click on the relevant group then the info will be available.

I will restate: Permissions and access in SMF are 100% and ONLY controlled by membergroup
There is NO WAY to assign a specific member to have access to a board or to have permissions.
That member must be added to a membergroup that has access to that ...
